who is she
Kristina Felske is a Los Angeles-based writer, director, & performer.
Kristina & her writing partner, Ellie Race-Moore, are currently in development with Awesomeness Films with their feature Debt Free or Try Dying, a comedy about two best friends who fake their own deaths to get out of paying their student loans. Prior to purchase, the script was a Top 5 Finalist for the 2018 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest. Kristina was most recently staffed (and co-wrote an episode) on the second season of an Emmy-winning animated series that her NDA probably doesn't let her name outright. She is currently in post-production for her first short film, Death Doula, which she wrote and directed. You can still donate to the film's crowdfunding at www.deathdoulafilm.com.
Before joining forces with Ellie, Kristina's comedy pilot Sleepers was an Official Selection at the 2016 New York Television Festival. Kristina is currently a podcast producer for Donut Media's Past Gas and Donut Racing Show podcasts (and previously showran their YouTube show Up to Speed), and her work has been featured on Reductress, Second City Network, & RedEye Chicago. Kristina's bit show The Sheryl Crow Carol Show (The Pack) was selected as a Pick of the Week in LA Weekly, and her full-length original musical, Penny, the F*ckable Dolphin: A Love Story (Annoyance Theatre) was called "wonderfully silly" by TimeOut Chicago. Kristina used to co-host a wrestling podcast (about what else? fashion!) called KayFAB that you should absolutely check out.
Before the pandemic, you may have seen Kristina perform sketch comedy at The Can (UCB), The Bacchus (The Pack), or in a one-off bit show in a bar somewhere. While in Chicago, she performed at iO & Annoyance Theatre, & once spent four months on the high seas touring with The Second City. She firmly believes her experience living & working on a cruise ship prepared her for quarantine.
